We Cook, Share Knowledge and Develop Friendships
Message from WWRC founder Sue Zelickson
Women Who Really Cook is a networking organization for women in the food business in the Twin Cities area and greater Minnesota.
Monthly meetings are held in various locations where members work to share successes, ideas, dreams, desires, products and possibilities in the food world.
Our mission is to meet others with similar interests, concerns, and joys... to take time to laugh, smile, taste, and relish each others' specialties, while sharing our wants and needs with each other.
We dish up a bit of chit chat while making meaningful, supportive, and long-lasting friendships!
November 2015 Member Meeting at The Tomato Vine
On November 10, members and guests met at The Tomato Vine in Eden Prairie. Host Abby Randall told us her story of moving from personal chef, torn in many directions, to her role now as a meal preparation and delivery service working out of her beautiful commercial kitchen. Abby served up a spread of delicious appetizers and sweets that also included fermented foods and beverages prepared by Abby's guest and mom, Diane Lutzke. Diane gave a fascinating presentation on fermentation, something she is passionate about, and was generous enough to share scoby starter (for kombucha tea) and "poolish" starter (for bread). Many members took home samples of the starters and Diane was kind enough to share a recipe for poolish bread.
